CREMER OLEO opens team for industrial bioethanol

Industrial bioethanol from CREMER OLEO is used in numerous applications in cosmetics, homecare, pharmaceuticals or technology - for example as a solvent, disinfectant or antifreeze. It is purely vegetable and comes either from feedstocks such as sugar cane, molasses, corn and cereals or, in so-called second-generation quality, from sugar-containing waste products.

Malte Kroll, Business Director for Ethanol: "In recent years, we have substantially expanded our ethanol business in the fuel market. We operate a very stable global sourcing network and tank storage facilities at several European locations. At the same time, we are seeing that demand for plant-based ethanol is growing strongly in CREMER OLEO's other target industries, such as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Marco Schumann has successfully established a dedicated distribution for industrial ethanol in 2022. We are very excited to further expand the team with him as a Business Manager and a dedicated team."

Marco Schumann joined CREMER OLEO in 2020, after several years of experience as Sales Manager in Chemicals Distribution. His goal for the new business unit? "We aim to be a reliable partner for the European industry with the largest possible bioethanol portfolio. Currently, for example, we are expanding our range in the special denaturants area in order to be able to respond even more individually to customer requirements here. To our existing customers, we want to offer the possibility of a one-stop store with all of CREMER OLEO and stand by them as a reliable partner for oleochemical semi-commodities as well as related products such as bioethanol."
